This itinerary applies for Central Serengeti (Seronera Area) all year around and can as well be combined with game drives in Western Serengeti (Grumeti Area) where you can witness the Grumeti River Crossing in May, June and Early July. If you are interested in witnessing the Mara River Crossing great Migration in Late July, August, September to Early October, the itinerary can be adjusted accordingly and we recommend that you add at least a day or two days to be able to maximize your Mara River Crossing experience in North of Serengeti and you should consider flying out of Kogatende Airstrip to Arusha or Kilimanjaro on the last day.
11 Days Luxury Uganda Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up by a representative of Engabi Tours and Travel and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town. Your guide will meet you and give a brief on your upcoming safari.

Day 2: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park For a Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the Tarangire National Park for a full day game viewing experience in this magnificent park which is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population and variety of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentration of elephants in the country. After the Game drive, you will be transferred to your lodge at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will head towards the Serengeti National Park through the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On leaving the highlands behind you will descend into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as your eye can see. On arrival in Central Serengeti specifically the Seronera area, you will enjoy your lunch box and embark on an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Later you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park where you expect to see lots of wildlife including lions, Cheetah, Gazelles, Giraffe, Zebras, Elephants and wildebeest Migration depending on the time of the year you visit. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today you will wake up so early and head out for an early morning game drive after which you will return to the Lodge for breakfast and then head out for another game drive together with your lunch box. Later in the day you will enjoy a picnic lunch and proceed towards the Ngorongoro conservation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Game Drive in the Ngorongoro crater and Transfer to Arusha
After a very early breakfast, you will descend down into the crater where you will be able to view the Big Five animals in one area. After the game drive followed by a picnic lunch, you transfer to Arusha arriving in time for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 7: Flight to Kigali International Airport
Depending on your flight schedule you will wake up lazily, enjoy your breakfast and thereafter transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. On arrival you will be met by your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali City for overnight.

Day 8: Transfer by Road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today you will wake up to your breakfast and then embark on a 4 Hours road drive transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda arriving in time for check in to your lodge and later lunch. You may take an evening walk around the nearby community and the dinner and overnight

Day 9: First Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ruhija Sector park headquarters arriving in time for the gorilla trekking briefing. The briefing point is few minutes away from the Lodge. After the gorilla briefing session which usually starts at 8:00 am, you will be assigned the gorilla group that you will be trekking with other trekkers and you will be escorted into the impenetrable jungle with two gun-baring rangers and a tracker with a machete to lead your way.
Once you have found the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them and you are advised to keep your camera in silence and observe a 10 meters’ distance from the gorillas with your mask on at all times. The time of your stay in the jungle cannot be pre-determined as every day is different from that previous. Return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and later dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Second Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today you will have a second chance to spend another one hour with the gorillas in another family different from the previous one or in Buhoma sector depending on your fitness which will give you additional opportunity for photography and experience. Later return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the evening relaxing (you may choose to have a massage at the spa) and later dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer by Road to Kigali International Airport
After a very early breakfast and depending on the schedule of your flight, you will lazily transfer to Kigali International Airport to catch your international flight back home.
