The 5 Days Tanzania safari in the Northern circuit is a Tanzania Lodging Safari holiday with which you will spend two nights in Serengeti national park and visit Lake Manyara National park and Ngorongoro Crater. The 5 Days Tanzania Safari is designed to offer you more time in the Serengeti to witness the Big 5, Wildebeest migration ( during the season) and to experience a once in a lifetime wildlife viewing experience in some of Africa’s greatest national parks. These parks have variety of wildlife and bird species to make your trip a thrilling one.
5 Days Tanzania Safari Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha/Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park
Having spent a night in Arusha or on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will have a short briefing about your 5 Days Tanzania safari after which you will transfer to Lake Manyara National Park (one of the smallest but most diverse parks in Tanzania). The shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara which covers the largest area of the park is the seasonal home to thousands of flamingos coupled with more than 500 other bird species as well as a variety of mammals. This park is home to giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests, elephants and lions. On arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to watch the animals and absorb the landscape and after an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2:Transfer from Lake Manyara national park to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Africa’s finest wildlife destination the Serengeti through the breathtaking farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro conservation area. Famous for its incredible wildlife spectacle on earth(the great migration of wildebeest and zebra),the Serengeti’s vast plains and grasslands are also home to a haven of other wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards and many other predators. You will arrive at your lodge in time for Lunch and thereafter head out for an afternoon game drive and dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full day Serengeti Game drive.
After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit which loops into the plains of the Serenora River. It’s a good viewing spot for possible lions, Cheetah, topis, Ostrich and Thomson gazelles among other wildlife. You will later have a lunch and refreshment break at the visitor’s center which is also home to the gift shops. After lunch you will embark on to an afternoon game drive through the Kopjes Circuit which is famous for lions and large cobras. Later in the evening you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation area.
After breakfast, you might go for an optional Balloon safari or transfer to Ngorongoro with a stopover at Oldvai gorge where anthropologists Dr Lois and Dr Mary Leaky discovered the skulls of “Nut cracker Man” and “Handy man” also known as the “early Men”.
Upon arrival at the lodge in Ngorongoro,you will have lunch and later descend into the Ngorongoro Crater to view wildlife. You will later visit Lake Magadi a large but shallow alkaline lake to see the Flamingos,hippos and other bird species.Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Arusha and end of Safari
After a heavy breakfast, you will transfer to Arusha where you will arrive in time for lunch marking the end of you Tanzania Northern Circuit safari.
