Our Victoria falls, Serengeti and gorilla trekking safari to Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe is a 14 Days African Safari Tour designed for families, groups and honeymooners. The Victoria Falls, Serengeti and Gorilla Trekking Safari will start with the tour of Victoria Falls then a  wildlife or wildebeest migration experience in  Ngorongoro and Serengeti with the final visit to the gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park Uganda.

Victoria Falls Serengeti and Gorilla Trekking Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Harare Zimbabwe to catch a connecting flight to Victoria falls and to your hotel

On arrival at Harare Airport, you will catch a connecting flight to Victoria falls Airport where you will be met by Engabi tours and Travel representative who will transfer you to your accommodation for relaxation and overnight. Overnight at Victoria Falls safari lodge

Day 2: Tour of Victoria Falls

This morning after breakfast, you will be taken on a guided walking tour to the spectacular Victoria Falls through the splendid rain forest with various species of plants and birds. The tour takes you on a fantastic encounter to experience and photograph all the classic and best views of the fall, the Cataracts and Livingstone’s statue. Return to your lodge for Lunch, relaxation, dinner and overnight at Victoria Falls safari lodge.

Day 3: Optional Tours of Victoria Falls

Today you will wake up at leisure with no scheduled activities. You can stay at the lodge swimming or relaxing in your bed though you may take part in any of the excursions in and around Victoria Falls. Possible activities include Flight over the Victoria Falls either with Helicopter, Bungee jumping, White water rafting and abseiling among others.

Later in the afternoon, you will head out for a sunset boat cruise aboard the African Queen on the Zambezi River. On arrival at the royal landing, you are greeted with a cold cocktail and the sounds of the Marimba Band, a local instrument that laments the sounds of Africa. A full bar on both upper and lower deck serves a selection of cocktails, iced drinks and a variety of snacks.

In the fading twilight hours, heed the call of Africa while sipping traditional cocktails and enjoying light snacks as you return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4: Visit to the craft markets and Transfer to Harare for your flight to Nairobi.

Today after breakfast you may take a leisurely visit to the crafts market or simply relax at the lodge awaiting your transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Harare for a connecting flight to Nairobi. Overnight at Hilton hotel.

Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro National park

Today after an early breakfast, you will transfer by road to Arusha town where you will have lunch and then be transferred to Ngorongoro National park for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Ngorongoro Oldean Mountain Lodge.

Day 6: Game drive in the craters,visit to the masai village and transfer to Serengeti for an optional evening game drive.

After breakfast you will drive down into the crater together with your guide. Ngorongoro is the largest inactive volcanic crater in the world with an intact ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Crater was created by the collapse of a former volcanic mountain. The crater has a massive bottom of about 264 square kilometers (about 3 times the size of Paris) with a depth of over 600 meters.

During the ride in the crater floor you will see again the breathtaking variety of Africa’s wilderness. African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, lions and dozens of other species await you. Afterwards you will have lunch and visit the masai village and later transfer to Serengeti national park.

After you have arrived to your lodge in the late evening, you will have an optional evening game drive and thereafter have a well-deserved night’s rest.  Overnight at your choice of lodge based on the migration season.

Day 7: Full Day Serengeti game drive

Today is without question one of the highlights of your safari. After a rich breakfast you will start your adventure a little earlier than usual. During a full day game drive, you will experience the Serengeti in its full glory today!

The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most complex and intact ecosystems. Therefore, you can look forward to countless plant species like the characteristic umbrella acacias and millions of mammals like zebras, elephants and antelopes. The Serengeti is also home to the “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). In the evening you will return to Tanzania Luxury Bush camp where you will have a delicious dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Optional Balloon Safari and Serengeti Game drive.

Serengeti Balloon Safari is probably the most beautiful balloon flight in Africa and the ultimate Safari Experience which makes you enjoy the most beautiful migration of wildebeests through the endless plain of Serengeti. At 5:00 am,(Optional)  you will be collected from your lodge and transferred to the launch site near Masai Kopjes. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing and watch the inflation of your balloon. At dawn you take off, rising as the sun rises and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take us. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below.( Those of you not going for balloon safari will be with driver to catch up with those on balloon safari).  After breakfast, you are taken to the rendezvous point to meet with your driver guide and continue with your full day game drives. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Tarangire National park and afternoon game drive

After a big breakfast you will transfer to a very special national park called Tarangire National Park and do an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The park is particularly known for the abundance of Ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees in the continent) which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The river of the park is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and, of course, elephants. The lunch area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing views to the river and wildlife (with good chances of seeing a hunt while having your picnic). Day 10: Transfer to Kilimanjaro for a flight to Kigali-Rwanda

After breakfast transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport to catch your flight to Kigali.You may go for an optional visit the Cultural Heritage gallery in Arusha town, curio shops, the Tanzanite Experience, before transferring to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight to Rwanda. On arrival you will be welcomed by Engabi Tours and Travel representative who will transfer you to your hotel for relaxation. Overnight stay at Hotel Des Mille Collines.

Day 11: Morning Kigali City Tour and afternoon transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

This morning after breakfast, discover Rwanda’s largest and richest city on this in-depth half-day tour. Stroll through the bustling markets, see the city’s major highlights, and gain an appreciation for its rich cultural fusion, a lively blending of French and Bantu influences. The tour will include the deeply moving and very well designed Gisozi Genocide Museum, where more than 250,000 Rwandans who were killed during the 1994 genocide have been buried. Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After Early morning breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing and later take a trek through the rain forest to see the mountain gorillas in their natural environment in the Park. Be part of history and see some of the mountain gorillas remaining on Earth, and nearly half live in the forests of Bwindi forest. Upon sighting the gorillas, you will stay with them for a magical hour as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting; raising their young. After the trek, rejoin your driver Guide and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages

Day 13: Morning boat cruise to the pygimies islands and transfer to Kigali

You will embark on an early morning Canoe cruise on the Lake of a thousand islands as its nicknamed due to its 29 individual islands. The Cruise presents a morning soothing recreational encounter that is worth exploring and is refreshing given the previous long day while trekking gorillas. Later in the afternoon you will transfer to Kigali for overnight at hotel Mille Collines.

Day 14: Depending on your flight schedule, you will wake up at leisure and transfer to the Airport to catch your out bound flight.
