6 Days Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
Your guide/driver will pick you up in Kampala and transfer to Kibale forest national park home to highest population of 13 species of primates including chimpanzees. The 5 hours drive journey includes stops en route in Fort Portal town where you will have lunch and later check in your lodge in the rainforest. Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Nature Walk
After breakfast is served, you will transfer to the park headquarters where you will meet the rangers for chimp tracking. After briefing you will start a guided trek through the rainforest which gives an encounter with chimpanzee for1 hour. You will return back to the lodge for lunch and shortly after go for a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. It is a beautiful place to see lots of birds, primates, trees and medicinal plants with the help of your guide. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon Boat Cruise
You will leave kibale early morning after breakfast on a 1 hour transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Arrive at your lodge check in and after lunch go for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Drinks are available onboard while you enjoy 2 hours sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, birds and elephants till you get back for dinner. Day 4: Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early morning at 06:30am start for a game drive in the grasslands of Kasenyi, Queen Elizabeth national park. You may spot elephants, lion, leopard, warthogs, Uganda kob and lots of birds. Return to the lodge for heavy breakfast and later, enjoy a transfer to Bwindi arriving in time for dinner and overnight at your Lodge. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Village
You will wake up before 07am and have breakfast and after which you meet with guides at the park offices. You are briefed on the rules of viewing gorillas before setting off into the forest walking on foot and search for gorillas. Gorillas will be located spend 1 hour taking their photos after which you return back to the lodge. Have lunch and time to relax. In the evening you may go for a walk in the villages to see how locals live.
Day 6: Depart to Kampala or Kigali
With sweet memories of your tour ending today after breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali or Kampala depending on your convenience. End of safari
