Detailed tour Itinerary for 4 Days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari tour and Karisimbi hike
Day 1: transfer from Kigali to volcanoes national park
Your tour guide will meet you and transfer from Kigali to volcanoes national park. It will take 2 hours drive approximately. You will relax at the lodge for your next day’s gorilla tracking.
Day 2: gorilla tracking and village walk
Take breakfast and then head to kinigi visitor center where you are briefed by guides about the gorilla families. You will be pleased to have an up close encounter with mountain gorillas for 1 hour in which you take as many photos as you want. Back to your lodge for lunch after a memorable gorilla tracking
After lunch, visit iby’iwacu cultural village outside the park. The tour is an interesting opportunity to learn about the Rwanda culture and folklore such as how a king and queen dress up. The tour ends with traditional dance performances.
Day 3: hiking an overnight on Mount Karisimbi
In the morning at 08:00am after breakfast meet with guides, porters and cooks who will accompany to the summit of Mount Karisimbi hiking. You start hiking and trek until a campsite where you will enjoy meals and rest.
Day 4: descend the volcano and transfer back to Kigali
This morning wake up and ascend the summit where you will get most beautiful views. From there you descend back to kinigi and transfer back to Kigali. embark on a city tour upon arrival, visit the Kigali genocide memorial and craft shops. Later you will be shifted to Kigali airport and get a flight onwards.
