The restrictions on Plastics in East Africa by Tourists.

There are various East African Laws on environmental pollution being implemented to support the conservation zones of these numerous natural conservation areas within the East African countries. To ensure that the National parks conservation regions are kept safe and within their usual natural states.

Laws and restrictions have been adjusted to regulate the various tourists that travel to the East African countries. Engabi Tours would like to bring it to the attention of its travel clients that there are some regulations that have been pull into place on certain issues that have been destroying the environments.

Use of Plastic Bags in East Africa.


The governments of Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania have taken an exemplary step to aid in sustainability by banning the use, manufacture, and importation of plastic bags. Be advised that you should not bring plastic bags into either of the three countries. The ban applies to carrier bags more so polythene or related plastic environmentally harmful materials.
There may be checks at international airports in Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania and the fines for being caught with a plastic bag are quite severe. This that may greatly affect your Engabi Tours Africa Adventure experience.

Single Use of Plastic bottles and strews.
Rwanda and Kenya have joined as the war on pollution gains momentum, Kenya announced a ban on the use of single-use plastic bottles, straws, and related products within the protected areas in the national parks, National reserves, conservation areas, and any other designated wildlife protected area.
