Gorilla Permit Refund Uganda: Cancellation policy and guidelines
Uganda Gorilla permit refund is a question that lingers in every gorilla tracking traveler’s mind in preparation for gorilla trekking wondering what will happen in case they don’t see the mountain gorillas. It’s a life time experience to trek gorillas in Uganda and most clients save their money in anticipation of a great experience while tracking these great apes.
According to experience you have over 95% chances of seeing the mountain gorillas as the trekking process is quite clear in such way that the advance team of rangers will communicate with your ranger guide to tell him where these gorillas will be and how far they would have moved from where they slept the previous night.
However sometimes circumstances might dictate and you are not able to view these gorillas as a result of may be the family is scared or furious after an attack from another gorilla family mostly un habituated silver backs and thus will not entertain your visit or if the gorillas move for long distances or hide from you for the reasons best known to them.
Such circumstances may tantamount to a refund according to Uganda Wildlife Authority terms and conditions. Please check these terms and conditions so that you get to know your rights.
In addition to the above there are other policies that may lead to someone being denied to visit mountain gorillas because may be He/she has skin disease or contagious disease which might be seen as a danger to the gorillas the reason you should endeavor to visit your doctor before committing all the payments.
For Engabi Tours and Travel as a company, gorilla permit refund depends on several factors. First and foremost for us to confirm any gorilla safari, we request you to deposit full amount for the gorilla permit and then 30%-50% of the total amount charged for the safari. This is because Uganda Wildlife Authority requires a non-refundable full amount three months to the tracking date. Therefore we can only refund 70% of the amount if you contact us before we have already paid the full gorilla permit amount to Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Please take NOTE that we try to resell these gorilla permits booked by our clients just in case they don’t use them and once we are successful then we will send you the money from resell.
